A customer near Heilbronn / Ilsfeld came to us with his DAF swap body vehicle. The ZF 12TX2211TD transmission with a TraXon transmission system only shifted sporadically. The automatic transmission skipped a few gears when shifting and the diagnosis of the DAF workshop showed, that the transmission actuator would be defective. The problem still persisted, even after the transmission actuator was replaced, so the vehicle ended up with us. After a short error diagnosis, we decided to remove and dismantle the gearbox. A defective, worn bearing bush in the gearbox was identified as the cause. We replaced it, reassembled the gearbox and properly sealed it. After installation, we noticed that the DAF authorized workshop had unfortunately forgotten to reprogram the old (non-defective) gearbox actuator specifically for the vehicle. After vehicle-specific programming, the vehicle runs as it should again.
